Lisa Marshall
ITEC (International Therapist Examination Council) and City & Guilds
I trained as a Beauty & Massage therapist and Hairdresser in 1989 and started work as a beauty therapist in Selfridges.
Afterwards, I worked on cruise ships which enabled me to travel all over the world. Followed by working as a therapist and facialist trainer in spas in Bermuda where I met my husband Tim, a hairdresser, at a Caledonian ball.
We then moved back to the UK in 1999 where I set up my beauty salon Precious Time and started our family in 2001. We then travelled & worked in New Zealand for a year in 2012. On our return we acquired ‘Homend House’ which became our Marshall Hair & Beauty salon.
After a successful and happy 11 years at Homend House we decided to separate our home and salon life from living above the salon. We were grateful and thrilled from all the support we had received from our clients and friends over the years. I now am at my present location, Studio 7 and Tim is offering haircuts as a mobile service to allow him outside of hairdressing to try new ventures.
Studio 7 is at Ledbury Cottage Hospital Studios. Tucked away, yet still in town. A quiet space offering massage and facials tailored to you.
Considering carefully what treatments and products I use, taking care that they are natural and organic, and that they are ethical and sustainable. Always looking to improve everything I do and for me it’s all about the connection with people.
From January 2024 around my studio work I train for Eve Taylor London, our aromatherapy skin and body care brand. It’s exciting to share my experiences and skill set with new and experienced therapists. This is offered in colleges and salons that use the brand. This takes me all over Wales and locally. I enjoy giving back to the industry that has given me great experiences for over thirty years. A profession where you make friends and share ideas and are always learning.
Outside of the salon I enjoy exercise, theatre, reading and spending time with family and friends.
